Artists' Choice Exhibit
At the Somerville Museum
April 17 through May 15, 2009Opening Reception Thurs April 16, 2009 / 6 - 9 pm
All registered participants of Somerville Open Studios 2009 are invited to participate in this group show at the Somerville Museum. The opening reception provides a great opportunity to meet other artists, see each other's work, have some fun and build community. Many SOS visitors plan their weekend destinations by first previewing works displayed at the Artists' Choice Exhibit. The show can be viewed during regular Museum hours and special extended hours on SOS weekend (see Museum Events / Hours below).
The Somerville Museum has graciously waived their normal 20% commission on sales. All proceeds from sales will go to the artist. Interested buyers will be asked to contact the artist directly. If necessary to facilitate a sale, work may be taken down at the conclusion of SOS weekend. Otherwise, all pieces will remain on display through the end of the exhibit on May 15. The museum will be hosting a public concert featuring classical music by Duo Maresienne on Mothers' Day, May 10th, providing additional exposure for participating artists.
